ETIAS Eligibility Checker – We have created this form, so you can find out if you will need to apply for an ETIAS authorization or a Schengen visa before traveling to the Schengen Area.
ETIAS is a system that allows individuals to come into the Schengen zone without visas. It’s an electronic system that tracks visitors from countries who do not need a visa to enter the European Union.
The legal procedures to pass the ETIAS were set in motion in 2016 and are now expected to be ready by May 2023.
The ETIAS authorization is not a visa.
You can read more about the ETIAS in our detailed guide.
You Need To Apply For A Schengen Visa
You do not hold a passport with the visa facilitation with Schengen. You must go to the Embassy or Consulate to issue a Schengen visa.
A Schengen visa lets you travel freely in and out of the countries that are part of the Schengen zone. If a stay is longer than three months, applying for a residency permit is crucial. These can be applied from inside or outside the EU country, with stays shorter than 90 days not requiring any formalities for entry.
All citizens of the following countries are still required to issue a Schengen visa:
